...you will exceed the cost of a fully equipped, fully functioning, factory turbo car by the time you're done. And performance will never equal the factory turbo.

Lots of people have done lots of things, but there's a point where you have to balance it out with compelling "why" arguments. Why spend so much time and money on a car that's worth very little, if for less money overall you will get much better results and a newer car to boot?

If you want a turbo, why not let the Saab turbo engineers (in my opinion by far the best in the business) do it for you? You will NEVER match their skills.

I mean, seriously, I see 9000 CSE turbos in my area for under $2000 regularly. I'd expect you to spend that much on all the turbo parts, fabrication, and miscelleny to trick your non-turbo into thinking it's a (mildly boosted) turbo. And that for a car worth maybe $1500?
