Corvette LT-1 Engine and 6 speed manual in it that some one had kludged together, I guess. Rather than attempt to rebuild the engine which had lost oil pressure, I found the 455 in Daytona that been converted to fit the Corvette 6 speed and they did the swap for me. I really don't know anything about these cars so I will have to find out what is in it. My quandry is why should this kind of problem suddenly come about when just changing out the engines. They had the car about 3 months before it was picked up. I am beginning to wonder if some hollywood type packed up the gear box "testing" it. I do know the entire engine and tranny was out of the car for the change out. It is just a standard GT-A except for the engine swap. I am giving the car to my son in law since he has never owned a car before, but this is what he wanted, this or an IROC. He looked at a lot of pictures and liked the looks or the older Firebirds and Cameros. He and my daughter just moved to America from the Netherlands.
