I paid $170.00 USD to have my rear cargo panel and speaker areas recarpeted. Looks better then new, great carpet, etc.

People have horror stories about upholesters in Tijuana ( i live in San Diego ) but I helped a friend find one for her trashed Volvo...I gotta tell ya, for what it cost her, the car looks GREAT. Redid the drivers seat, headliner (on a wagon!), all the pillar upholstery, and some door panel fixes for $90.00 USD...amazing! the work was good, not great, but considering the car was a PILE it looked GREAT.

LOL..and just to show where peoples heads are at, she squeaked and moaned about paying that much, and this is a professional person who makes 50K+ a year....I don't know, i guess some people's perceptions is 90 bux for a nice place to sit and to not drive around with a headliner bouncing on your head is too much money...go figure. keeping an old car nice is ALWAYS cheaper then a new car. I figure for what it costs to maintain two 9K's I could be driving a new Olds Alero or something similar...no thanks! 10 year old 9Ks drive better then 95% of the new cars i drive when i need a rental...And don't get me started on the Land Rover Discovery i rented not too long ago. Only 2500 miles and that thing had more squeaks, groans, rattles, underpowered and amazingly thirsty, no room...Somebody's idea of a 50K bad joke? whenever i see one now, I can't help looking at the driver and thinking...."schmuck!"

I digress....That being said, anybody got a good source for molded interior carpets other then OE? I don't like sewn ones, they never seem to fit right or look right...TIA
