Dean thanks, for the extensive and artriculate reply. I should have stated all of this info before. I check my tire pressure at every gas fill up and keep them between 32 and 35 psi. I run techron concentrate at every oil change; 5k mi. I use M1 0W40 before I owned the car oil was changed at or near every 3k mi mark and all service done by dealer, including 10k mi checkups. I have to use ethanol, I live in MN, but never use fuel less than 89 and almost always run 91 oct. I recently aligned my front wheels with the instalation of new suspension components. My tires have only 10k mi on them. The exhaust is new and dealer installed with in the last year. I really wanted to change my gear oil before it got cold, but just didn't have the time, so I will do that in the spring. My car also seems to be keeping a steading idle and operating temp, so I don't expect any problems with the ignition or cooling system. I am curious about cleaning the TB and IAC, is this something I could do? I was also wondering if the problem could be from a failed PCV, 02 sensor or something along these lines? I have never had a CEL, knock on wood, and have never broken the 30mpg mark on any road trip. I also usually only travel maybe 10mph above the limit.
