At least one person has replaced their headight switch with a boost gauge. I think they had to enlarge the hole a little bit, but I could be wrong. They just left the switch dangling behind the dash, which is fine if you have DRLs. There are several different A-pillar gauge holders that make a good starting point. None fit perfectly and all will need to be reformed a little bit with a heat gun. I have a Toyota MR2 gauge pod in my 900 that I got from Summit Racing. As for the path through the firewall, there's a nice rubber grommet just enters the car just above the pedals. That's probably the most convenient place to go through.
