it is on the heater box and is aluminum, left side of passenger foot well, and up above

search for "speed controller", someone described this years ago

controller has 4 wires and goes to a 8 pin connector, one wire one the chassis side of the connector is brown and thick. This goes to the fab motor and will have 12V if you disconnect and use a meter. WIS wiring diagram shows some of the wires jumpered in the leads between the plug and the harness, so more that 4 connections at the plug end.

Do not connect the module to the harness and test unless very briefly. If you run without mounting to provide a heat sink, it can overheat and fry. It needs some fresh heat sink compound to mount it.. I do not not know if it comes with this or you have to find on your own.

WIS states that an aluminum spacer comes with the part, but not to use that (in this application).
