I may have a slight variation of this problem. This morning (frost) as i drove off, i disengaged the parking brake quickly and after about 20-30 yards i realized it wasn't fully off (as there was some resistance). I put the lever all the way down and when I got back home, engaged the parking brake as ususal. Later (above freezing) when i went to disengage the brake, the handle dropped, but no tension was let off the brake. I had to rock the car back and forth until i could get out of my parking space. I can now drive it around the parking lot, but the brakes still drags (will not roll on an incline). There is a little more tension in the cable, but it doesn't seem to fully disengaged. Should i keep driving it until it let go? Do you think it a rusted cable as previously described? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
