It's very difficult to say since we don't know the job they did when replacing the pump motor alone.

They might know exactly what they are doing but we don't know.

I just finished a repair where another shop had replaced just the pump motor and they pretty much got everything wrong that is possible to get wrong.
But they still said to the customer they knew how to work on Saabs and how to replace a fuel pump.

The catch tab for fuel pressure line was broken off so they had stuffed a shop towel in between the floor board and fuel pump to hold the pressure line in place.

The pump assembly was turned 1/4 turn off index so the fuel level float was not working properly.

The rigid plastic fuel line was not pushed on to the barbed pump fitting enough.

The fuel pump o-ring had swollen up so it was not seated properly in the tank groove and the fuel pump holding nut was not tightened hard enough.

One suggestion on your car is to hook a fuel pressure gauge up to the line and study the residual fuel pressure.
If it drops down too quickly, something is wrong with the fuel pressure check valve of the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel injectors.
