Gap the plugs to .035 in the future and let them erode towards the mid gap tolerance instead of starting there. Canadian fuels, in my opinion, do create more deposits on the plugs.

The plugs will not cause noise. Some people hear the injectors. You could have a sticking hydraulic lifter. What oil are you using? My 95SET had some valve ticking, very slight, at around 110000 miles, while on Castrol FakeTec (tm), but not noise now with Mobil One or Delvac One.

How is the starting now?

To remove the TB transition casting, remove the plastic cover, lift at rear right(side of vehicle), pull back off of rubber gromlets. Loosen one hose clamp, remove two 10mm bolts on TB transition casting, lift up and pull out os rubber coupling in one motion. You can remove the intake air temp sensor lead if you will be taking the casting away and not just setting it down wired. Got some silicone grease for the large o-ring or petrolium jelly?

Open throttle via the linkage and clean the bore with a cloth dampened with some mild solvent. No need for carb cleaner, there is nothing there but oil film and blow-by gas deposits and soot. Clean the edges of the throttle plate, the lower one is tricky, you will figure it out.

I think that you need the dealer or someone else with greater experience to evaluate your engine noises.
