The only posting I could find of someone taking an Auto Tranny Range switch apart was Yury. I did not see mention of fixing it, just taking it apart.

Has anyone actually taken one apart and repaired it; as in removed grease, cleaned, replaced with better grease. If so, what kind of grease was used.

If someone can provide the info (I know how to do the R&R) I'll photgraph the procedure and see if we can post this once and for all.

Hey SCOTT, given the ongoing attension this issue has gained over the years would this be a worthy project ??? I'll take my switch apart if it can be done. JT posted instructions last year which I'll use to remove. I'll photograph the disassembly of the unit itself, cleaning, regreasing ..... and we post the repair procedure. Start a collection of home grown remedies.
