900s won't start

I have a 1994 900s that is sitting in my driveway and won't start. we have been going through an long period of extended cranking of late( after 10 secs of cranking I turn key off and then on and she starts right up). So I take the saab to the dealer and they can't duplicate the problem. ok, deep driving, extended cranking, turn off ignition and try again and it starts right up though sometimes not as fast. On a hot steamy july 4 th son drives to deli - car won't start in parking lot, I check spark at plugs, seems strong, smell gas.... come back at 9p when it is cooler and car starts up fine..... take to dealer, this time he experiences the extended cranking when engine is cold. says codes are whacky. pulls ecu cleans terminals replaces orig unit car starts.... 1 week later i have a 900s sitting in the driveway that won't start.... I bought a used ECU and replaced it this morning and she still won't start.... sounded like she wanted to... but didn't....
Any suggestions out there??? is the check valve on the fuel pump the next (expensive) part to check? thanks
