Well, I figure some may want to know how things turned out.

I never heard from the folks at JMK. Sorry, looks like I found myself a new dealership in Edison at Paul Miller Saab.

I just got back from there. I told them what I was interested in, said my lease doesn't expire until Feb 25th. The saleswoman- Dawn (a wonderfully nice lady) said no problem, let's see about ordering it.

I told her about the experience at JMK- she was stunned. Why wouldn't they order the car? When I mentioned how the guy there asked me to show him respect...she simply gasped.

Well, a little while later I walked out with a new car order in hand. My Fusion Blue (couldn't resist the color!) 2006 SportCombi just the way I want it (5 speed, premium and cold packages and the nav system) will be arriving in mid-February just as my current lease expires. All at the price I wanted as well.

It turns out that the dealers have a window when they can order cars. My order will actually go in around Dec 8th and it takes 30-60 days to get the car. So my timing was perfect.

I can't wait! :)

PS- A note about Paul Miller. My saleswoman told me, that they opened this showroom about 18 months ago. GM/Saab actually asked the Paul Miller group to add a Saab showroom. Looking at the other cars they sell- sure there is Toyota and Scion, but also Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Porsche, Bentley, and Rolls Royce...I would say we're in pretty good company.
