I've been having boost issues lately with SAABOTR. I can't get it to boost very nicely past 17-18psi or so.

Here's a quick rundown of what I've got:

flowbenched, ported, polished 2.3 head
flowbenched, ported, polished 2.1 intake manifold
flowbenched, ported, polished 2.0 exhaust manifold
Schrick 2mm oversize intake and exhaust valves
(top end cost more than the bottom end!)
'85 16vT cams

91mm 9:1CR JE forged pistons
balanced stock crank
balanced, glasspeened and polished stock rods
stock IC, '85 all aluminum type
HKS Super Sequential BOV on custom IC pipes
Autolite 3911 racing plugs gapped to .028
Group 6/SPG9 APC
base boost set at 10psi (wastegate cranked all the way in)
fuel cutoff bypassed
stock injectors
modified vacuum advance unit - 27-28 BTDC base timing, ~3 BTDC under boost
water injection hooked up, but not working

What is everyone running for base timing, base boost, plug type and gap settings? Anyone ever play with the pots on a modified (ie SPG9/SD) APC?

I'm going to try some of the NGK BCP7EVs (now apparently called 3733, new numbering system) later today and see where that gets me. The Autolites were just about the only thing NOT new when I did my engine. I'll also play with the ignition timing again.

As it is, I can boost to about 17-18psi in second gear, 15 or so in third before it tapers down to 13psi and just stays there. Which is cool, but this boost junkie wants more! :)
