Like Kevin K states, get some better pads & definantly go with a better brake fluid!!!

Do you know what tires other cars out there used??? Take a look next time & if they have race tires (Kumho V700, Toyo RA-1, Hoosier RS-303) they will be kick your but in the turns! I have 225-35-18 Yokohama Parada's on my intrax/koni SPG & at turn 1 at Putnam Park, 60-65 mph is all I could do (I am a chicken by the way) through it while hitting 110-115mph down the straight, that's with 15-20 PSI of boost :o) My friends 96 cavalier, auto, 120 HP on a good day with eiback/KYB suspension & Toyo RA-1's would only hiy 98 mph down the straight but he could do 75mph+ in turn 1 with plent of room for improvement :o)

Also, if this was your first event & the other cars out there had experience drivers abilities will do a TON as well! My instructor at my last event had a Dinnan suspension/brake prepped 540i manual with Kumho V700's. He was able to "baraly" keep up with a friend who had just purchased a 89 325 IS. The bad thing was, is that the 325 had street tires & only had I beleive 190 HP! He is just a DAM good Driver!

Turbo lag isn't difficult to deal with, you just have to learn how to use it :o)

The feeling of keeping up with cars that should be a lot faster in turns is great! It just takes a little practice!! Next time at6 the track, I will have a car which does NOT have a blown headgasket & I will hopefully have race tires as well :o)
