Hi guys this is a followup to my woes of last week regarding my 889kT 201k which was LOCKING while turning over to start. Needless to say this came as a great shock and I jumped to the conclusion of Timing belt broken....ouch $1200 was the lowest estimate for that.
Then the GOOD NEWs I found fuel all over the back of the engine and later (once I calmed down) found that that the Fuel pressure Reg. was spitting gas out of the vacuum hose. THAT was the source of the lock up on turning over the engine. Raw fuel was being dumped into the intake through the vac. hose.
So I took this opportunity to UPGRADE to a 3.0 Bar FPR and dug out the APC last night to begin my slide down the slippery slope...........ye haaaaa.(Found a 10 dollar bill under the dash and Francs and DM's under the seat too)
The drive to work was fun and I can't wait to leave for the ride home and then dial in a bit more of the F pot. THANK YOU all for the contributions and detailed info on your troubles and Mods that have been discussed here.
