My shopping day, and anyone like the S60?

So...I test drove the 9-3 yesterday. Just walking up to the showroom and seeing the car made me swoon. Love the car-going to check back Monday on pricing, availability, etc...it was New Year's Eve and they were trying to get out of there.

Then walked by VW. Didn't test drove but sat in the Passat. Was also shown a low milage 03 GLX model (top trim level) that they were looking to make a deal on. NIce car, but definitely didn't give me the same reaction

Finally went into the Volvo store to look at the S40. Couldn't deal with the backseat at all and wasn't into that center panel thing. However, they had a base model 2004 S60 on the showroom floor that they were looking to move. Again, couldn't test drive it, but it's only has 10 miles on it. They were asking 22,995 down from an original MSRP of 27-something.

It's a manual (which I want) and has no options on it. The invoice on the car is around 25,500.

So wondering what people's reactions are and what they think of the pricing. I've searched the forum and seen mostly negative comparisons to the 9-3. I know it's not as fun a car, but if the can knock another 1000 off the price i'm going to be tempted.
