I've got OnStar in my 2004 and from what I've read there are no plans to upgrade the unit in our cars. It is unfortunate because it would allow all the features of the built-in h/f phone to be exploited for a reasonable mobile cost, all with the benefit of not having to have yet one more phone number to keep up with. I'm a bit bummed that SAAB has fumbled this feature in North America so badly. Europeans with our cars have a couple of simple ways to integrate hands free phones but unless you have a 2005 in NA you get OnStar and nothing else (then again I've yet to hear of anyone with a 2005 getting the harness and a phone kit successfully installed).
I'd be willing to pay good money for OnStar/Verizon/SAAB to upgrade the unit in my car to allow me to use a Verizon number, but it just doesn't seem that there are enough of us to make it cost effective for them.
