My wife and I own a 2003 Linear 9-3 SS and we are avid cyclists so a roof rack was an absolute must. We had exsisting roof rack parts for a Thule system set up for a Mazda. I know that saab offers a rack system but after doing some research I found that the saab racks were only compatible with the saab roof accessories. This was not an option for us due to already owning bike mounts. I also thought that the bike accessories for the saab racks seemed a bit gimicky in my opinion. We opted to go with the Thule because they make a specific set of load bars for the 9-3 SS that directly into the Saab's roof mounts. If you are looking to save a bit look at the Rocky Mounts bike racks. They will mount on either Thule or Yakima systems. Also spend the bucks and get a faring as well. Not only do they give a finished look to your rack but it will also significantly reduce wind noice and improve fuel mileage. I am sorry that I don't have the the specific Thule product numbers but if you go to the Thule website, you can use the fit guide and find that product info.
Good luck with your roof rack and enjoy your saab :)
