This may seem extreme to some, but I actually run a hose through my garage from my slop sink and run it on warm. On really snowy drives or when the salt turns my grey 9-3 white, I take the warm hose to her before I pull her into the garage, I especially hit the wheel wells that get full of snow too. The warm water melts them out real fast. (A little history note, one of the reasons Saabs were so succesful in Sweden were for their deep wheel wells which kept the Saabs on the road in deep snow fall.) I developed this method due to the messy garage floor id have when they finally thawed and dropped out along with tons of black dirt.
As for preventive maintinence I have no good advice since you upped the tire size your loosing well depth...
But I thought I'd share my wet down method.
