Kitty,

I purchased a 9-3 Linear sport sedan in November of 2002. I currently have 5,700 miles on it and I have had way to many problems with it to suit me. I have had the fog lamps and a new master cylinder replaced, but by far the biggest problem is with the automatic transmission. It started about 900 miles. I hear a "click/clack" noise when I let off the gas and then apply it again. It reminds me of what a universal joint sounds like when it goes bad. I have now had it in 8 times and they haven't fixed anything. The zone manager from my area told me it was the throttle plate snapping closed. I couldn't believe he thought I was that stupid. I just had it in last week and they greased ther shift linkage cable, I don't know how they thought this was going to fix it. I just went back today and they listened again and they have no idea and until they talk to the zone manager, who is on vacation for 2 weeks, they won't do anything. I have a good friend who has worked on Saabs for 15 years and he said it is a bad transmission, but I don't think they want to repalce it. I have owned 6 Saabs so far and with the trouble I am having and the poor customer satisfaction I have been receiving I probably won't by another Saab. I am trying to get them, Saab, to but the car back as I can't afford to keep taking it to the dealer and have them do nothing.

Malcolm
