Hydroblox....... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Mon, 6 Jun 2005 11:21:47 In Reply to: Any experiences with Linear Conv/stick?, Nevin, Sun, 5 Jun 2005 20:55:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm told I have a rare Linear Vert in stock with the parchment hydroblox "cloth" seats as production was suspended in the parchment for some reason. Hydroblox isn't cloth in the traditional sense, more of nylon weave that would seem to resist water and staining very well. Lot's of vinyl around the cloth, only the seat centers are hydroblox, so I wouldn't expect much of an advantage as to being hot in the sun.
Rule of thumb has the 175hp 2.0t of the Linear vs the 2.0T 210 hp Arc and Aero feeling relatively the same in "normal" driving. The additonal power of the 210hp motor comes from a bigger, less responsive, turbo and hotter cams. The result being the additional power is up high, over 4,000 revs, so the 0-60 time may be better, but in day to day driving the 175hp motor is as much or more responsive. 175hp and 195ft/lb still smokes a VW/Audi 1.8t, how fast do you wanna' go?
