Can This Be True?

I just bought my first Saab last Saturday - 9-3 Linear, Parchment Silver with Sentronic A/T, premium package, and heated seats. I've wanted one for over 20 years - can't explain the wait, but not important - it's a dream come true. I drove it this weekend to NJ and back to my home in NoVA. The SID says I averaged 34+ MPG. At one point on the return trip, while cruising at 70 mph, it was reading 37.6. The long math calculation says 32.4. I only have 824 miles on the vehicle, and I expected decent fuel mileage, but am I imagining things? The math can't lie, but does anyone else see this mileage? Does it continue in later miles?
Bottom line - I am very pleased with the vehicle. Solid feel, very quiet on the interstates, even at 80 mph. Fuel mleage is an unexpected pleasure.
