No US seat options.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Sat, 23 Jul 2005 11:18:58 In Reply to: swapping seats, Joe [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 21 Jul 2005 16:25:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I know in Sweden a 9-5 can be had with the sport seats and it's called a Vector model, even with a diesel in a SportWagon, that was my cab on the way from to Trollhattan, but here in the US, no intermediate Vector model and nothing but the the 9-3 Aero comes with the sport seats. A 9-3 Arc with the standard ride height and front spoiler with the 17's or the sport package is a cool car, but alas no sport seats.
Sure you could do an Arc/Linear front spoiler on an Aero, but I suggest destroying the stock one first. You might not be able to accomplish that as the Aero spoiler is pretty flexible and mostly scratches on the bottom. If you hit some of the bigger ditches and driveways at an angle you'll be OK. Nothing on an actual road will grab the spoiler save for a big dip on a city street taken way too fast, it's the driveways and parking lot delineators that grab spoilers. The driveways you can angle through, and you just avoid pulling the front over any parking delineator/curb kinda' thingy. I do find the Aero ride to be quite acceptable, great compliance from the suspension and all aluminum suspension and brake calipers make the sport chassis and 17's ride better than any standard NG900/OG9-3 ever made.
