Car got keyed

I was in NYC last week on business and the side of my 03 93ss got keyed about 12 inches in length. It went through the clear coat and I guess the first layer of paint but not down to the metal. I tried a cheap scratch remover which was a waste of the $ 4.00 I spent.
What the best way to get deal with a scratch like this. At least to minimize it’s appearance.
Thanks for help
