LPT and HOT not really 9-3SS designations.... Light pressure turbo and high output turbo are really 9-5 and OG9-3 monikers. The 9-3SS is only 2.0t 175hp with about 10ish lbs boost in the 9-3 Linears and 2.0T 210hp with 12.7 lbs boost in the 9-3 Arcs and Aeros. Neither of these has been referred to, except in passing reference to the other models, as particularly LPT or HOT, though the 2.0t does kinda' fulfill the requirements for an LPT
The 2.3 LPT of the 9-5 is indeed the designation, as is the HOT designation of the 2.0 in the OG9-3s and the HOT designation of the 2.3 in the 9-3 Viggens and 9-5 Aeros. I'm sure some one knows the engine #'s, the one fuzzy brain cell sez the 2.3 HOT is a B245 somethin'....
The weakest Saab Turbo feels great and qualifies for the "full turbo" designation. Your t or T in your 9-3SS is determined by you model.
