ABS - anti-lock braking system, TSC - traction control system, ESP electronic stability program. The ESP button on the dash allows the driver to defeat the TSC and the ESP when the car is stopped and only until the next time the car is started. When you press it you get the TSC/ESP triangle icon on in the speedo with a slash through it. The ESP button will only defeat the TSC and the ESP at the same time and never the ABS. The ESP(and TSC) will automatically default to on next time the car is started.
If you spin a wheel upon acceleration (TSC) or invoke the electronic stability program by overcooking a corner you'll get the ESP warning triangle with out the slash. I call that the "too much fun light."
