had the opportunity.
And it was a pretty good (if entirely too short) course, with some straights, some pretty tight turns, and a quite demanding uphill hard turn from a dead stop.
Car is fantastic. Interior has many thoughtful features. Trunk floor folds up and locks, giving you two "half trunks" so stuff won't roll around as far.
My biggest complaint ... Why did we have to wait so long! Think of the poor sods who in desperation bought Jaguar X type wagons, etc. Oh the humanity...
Other complaint, they've given in and begun to use a "windowshade" cargo cover, like the kind Benz and BMW use. We'll get over it...
This is a terrific car. If you can get past the fuel economy (no it's not that bad, but it is slightly worse than the much coarser 2.3 HOT), the V-6 is fantastic. If you can't get past the fuel economy, the 210 HP 4 is plenty fast. At the convertible launch in August '03, journalists in the CVs walked away from those driving the 230 hp ARC models, especially on winding roads. And the CV is at least as heavy as a 9-5 sedan. I didn't drive the 4 cylinder, but I'm certain it was just fine.
