belanii,
The only thing they've replaced is a battery twice. First time claiming it was a bad cell, second time, the same. The last time, they did a complete reprogramming but have yet to replace any parts.
Coincidentally after having the steering lock issue a few days earlier when I posted, last night my car "immobilized" again, this time with the steering wheel completely locked, key wouldn't even turn, lights coming on and off, and again, it was towed to the dealership making it 4 times since Memorial Day.
At this point, I'm investigating Mass. lemon law. Either SAAB is reluctant to replace parts and is basically going thru the motions with trail and error to avoid major warranty costs, or the car has issue's beyond what they can figure out and simply are unable to fix the car.
I don't want THIS car back in my driveway! In addition to the immobilizer issues, I've had it at the dealership at least 3-4 other times for minor to not so minor issues...badge replacement (front & rear); seatbelt recall, transmission slipping and car revving when in gear. I am deeming this particular car truly unreliable and it's just a matter of time before something happens in a not so desireable area and then I'm REALLY stuck.
Just my morning rant!
