GM is pushing OnStar on everything but Saab right now, even Saturn, but there goes that simple southern thing again. Nextel is offering GPS enabled cell phones for you to have with you at all times for your safety and convienence, not just in your car.
I get more Big Brother conspiracy folks with regards to OnStar than I get requests. OnStar was a great idea before the cell phone became common. OnStar has advantages, but for me as the one who has to explain it to uninterested buyers who won't renew, I'm relieved it's not around. Simple to use, but involved to set up and crummy service here in Oceanside and around Camp Pendleton.
If my not liking OnStar is "dis"ing it, so be it. Even when it goes digital, has dramatic improvements in voice recognition technology and is hooked up with Verizon, it's still expensive and simple three button tech, no thank you. And with regards to Saab it prevents the import of Saabs excellent European communications/GPS module.
I'd love to order you a Saab with OnStar, order only please. Without incentives odering Saabs takes on a whole new light and removes the uncertainty. Or BMW's with premium packages include BMW assist, I can help you there too.
