I have a 2005 9-3 convertible. Under heavy rain, the front passenger floor area gets soaked. I detected that the water is coming from a hole/vent located under the dash, beneath the glove box and as far left as you can go in the passenger side leg well. The rim of this hole/vent has some type of felt material around it. I was able to see that water was dripping from that hole/vent onto the floor.

I couldn't determine what that hole/vent led to. I am taking it in for service on 10/17 but would appreciate any hints as to how the water is finding its way in. Other wise they might have to open the dash or the base of the windshield. Thanks.
