Had a 9-3 aero loaner for a few days. Liked it a lot. The ride is a little harsh, which is normal for such a high performance machine and the power is very linear... until you step on it. This car has muscle but is so smooth that you have to check the speedo to realise it, except when you reach about 4 000 rpms at keep going. That's when you really feel your in a turbo-powered Saab. The shifter (6 speed) is very precise and the handling is exquisite, with very little body roll and excellent balance. Steering and brakes are up to Saab high standards. I am sure this car will lure new people into the fold because it doesn't quite feel like a Saab because of the smooth V6. I guess after owning a few Saabs, we are used to the rush of a turbo 4, but could easily get used to the V6, although fuel consumption might bring one back to reality.
