Is 9-3SS navigation really sub-par?

Anyone have the new 9-3S navigation system? I have seen some negative comments on it. Main complaint seems to be that street names aren't shown while vehicle is moving. Is that something that Saab or the nav manufcturer can/will likely fix in a software upgrade? Is it a big enough negative to sacrifice the benefits of integration and buy an after-market navigation system?
