After been able to sit down after a hectic Saturday I have had a chance to study the diagrams for the light circuit.
One guess I have is that the +X function of ignition switch have died.
As far as I can see, the +X only supply power to pin 1 on head light switch and after that, the head light switch distributes the power to the main relay and the DICE unit.
The DICE unit "wakes" up by that signal and grounds the main relay that in turn sends the power to bulb failure relay and then through the fuses in engine compartment and out to the head light bulbs.
As the next approch, I would pull the head light switch out and measure for power on pin 1 on the back of switch when the key is in any position except off.
If there is no power at pin 1 on head light switch, the ignition switch or wiring between the two must be bad.
As a tip.
With your year/model you get more help on the NG900/9-3 board
