I, too, am trying to decide between the 2.0T and Aero. I currently drive a '03 9-3 Vector 6-speed, and recently drove an '06 Aero.
I found the Aero to feel not as nimble or balanced: the clutch felt heavier and steering less precise. The exhaust note is great, though. I did NOT like the chrome inserts on the steering wheel - the wheel felt quite cold on the 20-degree day I drove the car. I'm also not keen on the decreased gas mileage given the performance difference.
However, the 2.0T lacks a 6-speed, the sports suspension, and the superior sport seats.
