Naturally, you can route from the battery (not recommended), the fuse panel (finding a "hot" source there) or another hot lead from inside...for instance some seat switches are always hot...not sure on the newer SAABs...the older ones "timed out"...or did on mine. I'd be careful though about max-ing out fuses, etc...you might draw more power than the system you tapped into was designed for. What is it you're trying to power? What are the volts/amps required to power it? Does it require an in-line fuse or anything similar?
I wouldn't do it myself, but...
You might want to consider having another "hot" power outlet installed professionally by, say a stereo installation shop...they surely wouldn't charge too terribly much for it and you might feel better about the results.
