We sell both..... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Worth Buying?, Richard G, Mon, 20 Mar 2006 07:30:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
A 1997 BMW woulda' been no picnic either. The Saab has a new engine, but is otherwise a 4 year old design. The new E90 325i is a brand new design this year. The Aeros I've sold were compared to the 330i's on performance, not the 325i on price, but everyone has their own motivation.
The 3 only comes in the 325XiT wagon, so the advantage goes to Saab on SportCombis and sportwagons. A 9-5 SportCombi comapares in price to a 325XiT.
While I do think the new E90 325i has trumped the 4 year old 2.0T design the Aero is a different story. I mean right now an Aero is $10k cheaper than a 330i with sport and premium, $8k diff in the stickers and Saab's got some incentives and good leases too.
Different strokes for different folks. 3/4ths the BMW sales force drives Saabs here. A long term appreciation for the side by side durability and more bang for the buck, still the case on new ones. And as one guy says "Everyone has a BMW"....
