I drove the car over 50 miles today with the K&N filter installed and I like the results. The motor makes more of a growl at low rpm and it sounds and accelerates smoother at high rpms, the turbo also winds nicely. The change seems worth it to me but we'll have to see long term. It depends on what you expect but I think you would like the results. The filter is very High quality and comes pre oiled from the factory. The included label specifies servicing the filter every 50,000 miles, sooner under extreme dusty conditions. It drops right in and seals very well, took me 10 min to install. It is much thinner than the oem filter but I think that is part of the secret. What more could you expect from a low cost drop-in componet. K&N claims it will not void the vehicle warranty. The original oem filter had 10k miles on it and still looked pretty clean, no dusty driving in my commute.
Cheers,
John...
