Good question. Most all new cars are bulletproof when it comes to doing what their owners expect of them. Starting up on a cold morning and getting you where you want to go without any issues.
I have 2 Saabs (97 900s and 03 9-3), and they have been great cars with no real problems. Then again, that is what can be expected. In 1990, I bought a new Chevy Beretta that was absolute perfection - 207,000 miles without any breakdowns or major parts requiring replacement - just regular oil changes as maintenance. That was a much different experience than my '78 and '84 Chevys, which occasionally required me to pop the hood and fiddle with the carb until it started up on the really cold mornings.
And on this board, as Anders often comments, it is the people who have problems with their Saabs that post. Most everyone else is just quietly enjoying their Saabs - which really are great cars (even with all the other great cars that are out there.)
