Yesterday I was driving in the country. Leaving gas station I accelerated up to highway speed. Car was in D. All of a sudden the car felt like it went into nuetral. I took foot of gas instincitvely but engine went up to 4 or 5000 RMP's. I checked and lever had not been pushed out of D. Car worked fine the rest of the day. I have noticed that it is a little clunky going from R to D. Sometimes if in "3" or "2" it seems clunky as well. Other than that no symtpoms. I searched the board and these seem to be similar to symptoms reported for early '03 9-3SS's with AT. Espencially what sat reported.
