I neglected to point out that I was able to get the GM supplier discount. :D
I also was eligible for the $750 Katrina discount (for being in the "zone of destruction." FWIW, my local dealer in New Orleans was pretty much destroyed by Katrina. The next nearest dealer in Baton Rouge had not received their allotment of SCs, and I was under time constraints. Jim Ellis had the car and the options I wanted. At the time, the only hangup was getting Jet Back vs Black. They would've had to locate a Jet Black one, do a dealer trade, yada yada yada, so I just stuck with the Black on on the showroom floor. Jet Black was a near impossible color to find in an Aero SC in Parchment in December. They had one in MN, and one designated for dealer demo duty (unavailable for sale) in NC. Also one somewhere in CA, but that wasn't happening....
I hadn't even seen a SportCombi in person until I picked up mine up in Atlanta. I was flying back from a biz trip in DC and just cut my Delta flight short, stopped in Atlanta to pick it up (the sales rep picked me up from the airport) and drove the car home. It was a fun, 500 mile "getting to know you" drive home in the Aero. :D
Sorry I wasn't more helpful.
