It is not dangerous for most people's definition of dangerous. It might only be considered dangerous if you define at as failure to put the very best tires on the car.

The tread probably will wear faster than summer tires. By test measures, such as braking distances and speeding through a test course, it won't do as well. The speed rating, which is somewhat related to resistance to heat, is less than summer tires. It's probably ---QR17 vs. HR, VR, WR in the summer tires.

Is this a bad analogy?...that wearing high heels while mowing the lawn, like I saw in a TV ad for Desparate Housewives, is possible but not optimal.

Why does she like snow tires? Too lazy to change? Incorrect perception that snow tires are the best in any condition? Appearance of the tread? Likes the brand name?
