Stopped at the dealer today and parked right next to the twin of my 2003 93 conv. Same Merlot Red except it had the sport package which I would perfer. Should I go for it and buy the twin and sell mine?
It has 1000 more miles, same interior, but not CPO. 50K Warranty will expire in 10,000 miles and is for sale at $21,900 at a non-Saab dealer. It was at the dealer for warranty service.
To mine I have added lowering springs, upgraded all speakers, added a pin stripe and added the 17" EVO's with Avon's. It is an SE with EVO's. It is CPO until 5/2009. I am the second owner (bought it at 8400 miles).
Both exteriors are in perfect condition.
I could haggle and get the sport version for $19,900 or less cash and sell mine private party with CPO for $24,000. I would lose the CPO and other investments (I would swap the speakers, EVO's with Avon's but not springs or new battery (see previous post). I would have to pay MA sales tax of 5% ($1,000.00) to register the new vehicle but title fees, etc. I would gain the sport version with seats, body kit, steering wheel, carbon dash and upgraded suspension.
What do you think - foolish move? Mike Lynch...what do you think? is $24,000 too much to ask for mine?
