Which door connector are you referring to? If it's the one that is between the frame and the door (in the flex) then that may not be the problem.
I had exactly the same issue and a connector "inside" the door itself had let go. You'll have to pull the door panel to check this, if that isn't what you've done. That's what my dealer had to do.
The door panel isn't too bad to get off. I've just done it myself to determine the issue with my window not closing all the way and making all sorts of nasty snapping/grinding noises(the plastic cable spool seems to have worn out).
The outer half of the black pull handle snaps off and there are two torx screws that need to be taken out. These two torx screws plus the plastic snap pins on the panel itself are what holds the panel on the door. Use a protected or plastic blade to pry out the snap pins that hold the door panel to the metal door frame, slip the panel up over the lock and out of the channel at the window.
