I've probably rolled up the most mileage of any 9-3 SC owner to date-currently nearing 17k miles since my purchase in December. I have a '06 9-3 Aero SC w/auto, Black w/Parchment, Touring and Cold packages. Car has been reliable to date. If you search my previous posts, I've already talked about gas mileage. Mileage is mostly dependent on self restraint (I have little), so my mileage has been roughly that of the EPA estimates.

The 2.0T gets better mileage, but doesn't have the punch of the V6 turbo, the extra gear (for both stick and auto) or the sports suspension, sports seats, bigger wheels, sunroof, Xenons, fogs, 300W stereo, (latter four are options) etc or the Aero Academy (2 day performance driving school by Panoz instructors).

Pop for the Aero and you'll be joining an elite few (only about 600 '06 Aero SCs will be brought to the US).

I had a '01 9-5 wagon, and the 9-3 SC is a tad smaller (especially in rear legroom), but in my opinion a superior car to the 9-5. The 9-3 SC is just sportier than the 9-5 wagon (now SC). Side curtain airbags in the 9-3 (not available in the 9-5) were a clincher safetywise for me. If you need a tad more room in a SAAB, get the 9-5.

I'm pro Aero. Get the Aero!

PIcture below was taken in front of the Chateau Elan, near where Road Atlanta speedway is located (and where the SAAB Aero Academy takes place). I was there a week ago....what a blast! :D
