Well... the older 9-5 is broken in. I test drove some '06 Saabs last week. I liked the 9-3 SC Aero better than the 9-5 SportCombi. I thought the 9-3 felt stiffer and lighter (Maybe that could make it feel cheap?). The 9-5 is more of a luxury car and feels smoother and less agile. I also noticed the slightest engine vibration in the steering wheel. There was none of that on the 9-3 6-cyl. There is a $3000 Saab deal on the 9-3 SC Aero.

You should get what you prefer to drive. Don't settle for the 9-3 if you don't like it as much as a 9-5. You'll regret it later. This is from somebody that would buy the 9-3 instead. :-) After looking under the hood of the 9-3, I felt sorry for anyone having to maintain that mess. It doesn't look like an easy DIY car.

Oh. I drive a 2000 9-5 Wagon, Gary Fisher Edition. I just can't bring myself to part with it. I may just have to add a 9-3 to the car collection.
