I know this sounds stupid but I'm wanting to get back into driving Saabs after about a 22 year Saabless span. I've been watching eBay for an Aero or Vector with low miles, thinking that a Linear wouldn't satisfy me. But this one on eBay (Item 220020338954)is only 10 minutes from my house so I went and took a test drive, and suddenly want the car real bad. The car's been so well cared for that it felt like a new car test drive. The only visible flaw is some pitting on the lug nuts, which I understand is a common problem. I'm going to Carfax the car to find out if there are any undisclosed problems.
Questions:
Does the price seem good? (Aero's are a lot more, but this seems plenty luxurious)
Is there a way to ensure the factory warranty is still good? There are no service records but looks well cared for.
I know it doesn't have the HP of the Aero or Arc, but it felt pretty good, and I can software upgrade to get more HP--bad idea?
I also think I might like the softer suspension for country back roads. I think softer is better for washboards so the car doesn't skitter off the road because the suspension isn't copmpliant enough on the rough spots.
I didn't expect that I would like the car so much and just drove it to get a feel for current Saabs. But it felt just too good!
Help me! Is this a mistake or not? I'm looking for a reason to say no!
Thanks to anybody answering.
PS: I'm already looking for another set of wheels (Item #120024663148)
