I can't imagine you not having figured out the nature of the seat control, all height in the rear of the horizontal lever, tilt the front with the front with the front. Start out with the seat all the way lowered in the rear and then tilt the front all the way down, then you can add a little height with the back of the lever without tilting the front up. I'm fairly good sized, 5'11 and 200 and I find I can sit quite a bit off the floor or the all the way down setting.
Perhaps you have the lumbar bladder too full pushing you off the seat? Have you deflated it all the way?
Many, many Benzs and other European cars don't waste the color paint anywhere but the outside. I've seen have only black or gray primer on the trunks and hoods. And besides howda'ya bend over and look at the underside of the tonneau? All the colors have a parchment silverish internal paint job, the underside of the tonneau as well as the interior top compartment and are well finished with flat paint. I suspect there's the usual 3-4 layers, zinc, galvanizing, sealer, primer.
