I was lamenting the build quality of my '06 SC Aero's interior. So much plastic that I didn't mind until it started talking back at me - the dash, the center console, and a few things I haven't found yet. It would creak loudly at the slightest highway bump (and 880 in the SF Bay has a lot), going into my driveway, over speed bumps, whatever.

Well, I got oy trusty can of silicon lubricant with the little red straw and went to town. Half the trouble was getting into the cracks and wiping overspill. For me the KEY area of noise was the vents. You can grab the wind adjustment knobs to move the whole thing around and hear the creaking.

After about 15 minutes of work it feels like I have a new, higher quality vehicle. The plastic only whispers to me on the biggest bumps now, though I still have a buzzing in the left A-pillar when I go over the bridge to my town, and a few rogue pieces yet to be found.

I also need to figure out how to silence the rattling in the door when a little mid-bass is in the door speaker - it's not the speaker as I can push the door panel in to get rid of the noise.

I'm not a fan if silicone in women, but I highly recommend it for the Saab!
