I have a Launch model '03 and while I hadn't planned on it, I now have 158,000km on the car (equals about 98,000 miles).
I have had NO mechanical problems with the exception of a rear seal that was replaced under warranty a long time ago. The only mechanical bits that I've replaced are the discs (one set) and pads. The engine runs just as smooth as it did at day one and the auto trans has been great.
It has the usual rattles and creaky suspension that this model is known for but otherwise the radio, controls, wipers, SID etc have held up well. I have only recently had a problem with the drivers door mechanism. There is a plastic (yes plastic) spool that the door actuator wires run around and it has worn out.
It's looking like I'm going to need a new cv joint soon and also I suspect that the tie-rod ends are worn a bit, but this is just the normal wear and tear.
