Having just put 1000 mi on new 2007 9-3 Aero I can say this is marked improvement over my 2003 and 2005 9-3 Arc's. Any apprehension I had about the interior change was quickly forgotten and I am awed by the additional power and improved handling. Turbo lag seems just a bit more noticeable however and I am getting about 5 mi/gal less under comprable driving conditions. Sound system and new seats are excellent (finally) and loss of the information display above the dash and all the other irrelavant controls are not missed. However, one serious flaw is the new radio display is too dim to view in daylight even when dash lights are at max. The metallic trim in the interior on the console and doors is of poor quality and smudges easily. The distinctive Saab roof top Onstar antenna is replaced by the cheap and common GM version. They still haven't fixed the insane lightning controls (or more precisely, lack of control), low beam headlights remain on at all times and the dash control serves no useful function. On the plus side the xenon's are markedly better at night increasing the possibility you will actually see something on the road ahead before you hit it. I have had excellent reliability from my two previous Arc's (50k on both), so I am hoping the 07 Aero follows the pattern since it is a blast to drive.
